We met Olya and Curtis at a Wedding show called Local Love. When we went for coffee following the show. They mentioned their wedding was going to be a Russian/German fusion, that they wanted their ceremony to be held in a meadow, AND that their reception was going to be at the Edmonton Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. We were in love! Everything sounded magical and we were so excited to see how everything came together. It was a rainy day, It was raining all morning while we photographed them getting ready but that was o.k. because Olya and Curtis had lady luck on their side. Thirty minutes before Olya was scheduled to walk down the aisle of the amazing Lions Park wedding ceremony location the clouds parted. The rain held off just until we finished the family photos at Lions Park. As we got into our vehicles it started hailing. So we headed to their house in St.Albert for snacks and pictures in their backyard. Yes! Their backyard. At first I was nervous but it turns out that they had a beautiful forest right in their yard. How amazing. Once everyone was full and ready to party we headed over the Hotel Fairmont MacDonald for an elegant evening. While everyone waited for party to start they indulged in one of the best buffet spreads ever, took in their views off the balcony of the Hotel MacDonald, and cheered with unlimited cocktails.
Did we mention that Olya is a professional Ballroom dancer? Well for their first dance Olya and curtis planned a stunning performance for everyone. It was a great way to move into the party dancing which everyone was excited for. Thank you Olya and Curtis for inviting us to a part of your perfect day. Hair and make-up: Glam Artistry
